This coming up weekend is the 23rd Vermont Brewers Festival and beer lovers from all over are converging on Burlington. To provide even more entertainment for both fest-goers and non-fest-goers, bars and breweries in the area are hosting fun events and having some cool specials. Farmhouse Cellar-brate
The Farmhouse will be getting some special brews to celebrate Brewfest weekend. Start cellar-brating on Thursday and keep it going through the weekend. Mule Bar Tap Takeovers
Mule Bar will be doing three tap takeovers and one leftover takeover. For an updated list of what they will be offering, check out their event page on Facebook. Give them a like on Facebook and follow them on Twitter for more information.
Hill Farmstead: Mule Bar will also be starting the weekend festivities with a Hill Farmstead Tap Takeover and will have around 12 different brews all from Hill Farmstead.
Funky, Wild, Sour, and Tart: Mule Bar will be continuing their takeover but focusing on funkier and sour beers for people who love puckered lips. The tap list for this takeover can be seen on their Facebook event page linked above.
Hop Heads: Moving into hoppier realms, Mule Bar will be serving up beers for those that love IBUs and the dank aroma of hops. No tap list yet but keep your eyes on their Facebook page.
Leftovers: Judging from the name Mule Bar will be dishing out whatever they didn’t pour through over the rest of the weekend. This is your chance to bat cleanup for whatever delicious suds are let.
ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center Fizzy Fest
The ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center will be hosting Fizzy Fest. This is a tasting event for all ages with local sodas, syrups, and fizzy drinks. They will have root beer floats, BURP contests, and a giant outside bubble pit. Stop by with your Brewfest ticket and you get $2 off your admission to the ECHO center.
Queen City Brewing Steinbier Release
Queen City Brewery will be releasing their most recent batch of their Steinbier, a traditional German style of beer brewed using hot rocks as the heat source. They are open from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM Friday, 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM Saturday, and 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday. Read more about their Steinbier on their website.
Skinny Pancake Otter Creek Joint Custody Release Parrty
Otter Creek will be having a release party for their newest collaboration with Jack’s Abby Brewing at the Skinny Pancake down on the Waterfront. Join the brewers and listen to some music from SWALE. For more information check out the event page on Facebook.
Switchback Dog Days of Summer
Switchback will be offering $1 hot dogs with the purchase of a pint at their taproom.
Magic Hat Artifactory
Magic Hat will be offering extra tours at the Artifactory on Sunday at 12, 1, 2, and 3. In additon, they will be give you a pint glass with a purchase of $30 and a Brewfest ticket.
Juniper Bar Hill Farmstead Tap Takeover
Juniper Bar located in Hotel Vermont will have 10 Hill Farmstead beers on tap starting at 5:00 PM on Friday and going while supplies last. For more information, check out their blog post.
Bleu Northeast Seafood Burlington Beer Company Tap Takeover

Growler Garage Post-Brewfest Brunch
Girl’s Pint Out will be hosting a brunch at the Growler Garage on Sunday at noon. The brunch will feature donuts from Miss Weinerz and bagels from Meyer’s.
